Aerospace Technology in Mexico

The German-Mexican Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK Mexico), in cooperation with the international consulting firm enviacon, is going to organize a trip of German suppliers to the aerospace industry to Mexico through to support this in entering the rapidly growing Mexican market. (26.-30.08.)

The project is funded by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi).The Mexican airline industry is one with an annual growth rate of about 20 percent and one of the fastest growing and most dynamic markets in the country. In the period from 1990 to 2009, the country was able to attract 33 billion U.S. dollars, the world's highest capital expenditure for production companies in the aviation sector.

One of the key advantages of the “Aviation Mexico” beside the strategically significant geographic proximity to the U.S. market, is the relatively low labor and production costs and the established research and development centers in the country, and a high level of training for specialists and engineers.Following further investment announcements of world's most influential aircraft manufacturer EADS, Boeing, Bombardier and Hawker Beechcraft, the Mexican aviation industry in the future will receive additional economic upswing.

Mexico has become one of the major suppliers of the U.S. (9th) and European (6th) market - positions which Mexico will expand in the future. It already offer extensive business opportunities for German companies.These conditions are perfect for Wiesauplast´s entry into the market, both because of the factory in Mexico as well as the outstanding technical expertise.
